Keep Mantle independent
Mantle is free to read and runs no ads. It is paid for by the people who read it, so it answers to them, and to nobody whose story it covers.

What your support pays for
Every day Mantle reads the coverage of the outlets it follows, groups it into stories, compares how each side tells them and checks the wording. That takes AI models, servers, and time to keep improving the method.
A news business paid by advertisers is rewarded for your attention, and one paid by a party for your loyalty. Readers paying for Mantle is what lets it keep one job: showing you the whole picture.
Mantle will never
- Tell you which side is right.
- Call a single article biased. A rating describes an outlet’s coverage as a whole.
- Sell your reading history. It stays on your device.
- Take money from a political party, a campaign, or an outlet it rates.
- Hide how a label, a count or a highlight was made.

The details
- Memberships renew automatically at the same price, every month or every year, until you cancel.
- Cancel whenever you like on the membership page: sign in with the email address you paid with and choose Cancel. Nothing more is charged, and the period you already paid for runs to its end. You can switch between monthly and yearly there too.
- If a price ever changes, members are told by email before it applies to them.
- Charged by mistake? Write through the contact form and the payment will be refunded.
- Stripe handles every payment. Mantle never sees your full card number. What Mantle does receive is in the privacy policy.
- Payments go to Amo Per La Vita LLC, which publishes Mantle. They are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible.
- Everything on Mantle stays free for everyone to read. Mantle runs no ads today. If that ever changes, members won’t see them.
